Ultimate 2.0—Play with app

Preparation

Before running your robot, please check the three steps below.

Device Compatibility

  iOS Android
Makeblock   Compatibility:  iPhone4S/iPad 3, iOS 9.0 and above. Compatibility: Requires Android 4.3 and above.

Compatible with tablet.

  1. App Download. Search “Makeblock ” on App Store or Google play, then download the App.
  2. App Connection. Turn on your robot and open up your smart device’s Bluetooth, tap the Robot ID in the list to connect Bluetooth. When the connection LED indicator is solid on, it means that the robot is paired with smart devices successfully.

Control Robotic Arm Tank

  1. Choose project “Ultimate 2.0 – Robotic Arm Tank” in the list.

  1. Choose “Manual” mode. Use the control panel to start controlling your Robotic Arm Tank.

You can also add electronic modules onto this robot to explore more.

Obstacle-Avoiding Mode: the robot will run and avoid obstacle automatically. When press any button, the robot will not response unless you switch the mode. (Required to assemble ultrasonic sensor onto the robot).

Please make sure that the ultrasonic sensor is connected to port 7 of MegaPi, which allows us to control the robot with app directly.

Note: If you need to program the robot by yourself, then you are able to connect the ultrasonic sensor to any port of MegaPi (make sure you set the same port for ultrasonic sensor in the program.)

Line-Following Mode: the robot will follow a black line on a white surface automatically (required to assemble the line follower sensor onto the robot and put black tape on the floor to make a line-following map).

Please make sure that the line follower sensor is connected to port 8 of MegaPi, which allows us to control the robot with app directly.

Note: If you need to program the robot by yourself, then you are able to connect the line follower sensor to any port of MegaPi (make sure you set the same port for line follower sensor in the program.)

Control Camera Dolly

  1. Choose project “Ultimate 2.0 – Camera Dolly” in the list.

  1. Choose “Manual” mode. Use the control panel to control your Camera Dolly.

  1. Add a Me Shutter module onto this robot then it will able to implement auto-photographing for the camera.

Please make sure that the Me Shutter module is connected to Port 6 of MegaPi, which allows us to control the robot with app directly. When we click “shutter”, then we will be able to control the camera to take photos.

Note: If you need to program the robot by yourself, then you are able to connect the Me Shutter to any port of MegaPi (make sure you set the same port for Me Shutter in the program.)

Control Self-Balancing Robot

1. Choose project “Ultimate 2.0 – Self-Balancing Robot” in the list.

2.Choose “Self-Balancing” mode and place Self-Balancing Robot upright and the robot will balance on its own. Then use the control panel to control your robot.
